'Attila' is an Alpine strawberry, a cultivated form of the wild strawberry with slightly larger, elongated fruits. It owes its wonderful aroma to its wild ancestors. What makes it special is its ability to produce numerous runners. This is very unusual for an Alpine strawberry propagated by seeds. It spreads quickly and can form a "strawberry meadow" in the garden. When cultivated in pots, trailing shoots can grow up to 150 cm long. Like other Alpine strawberries, 'Attila' bears fruit in the first year, from June to late September.
