Descrizione
Like many NuMex varieties, it originated from New Mexico State University. We were totally impressed by these chillies.
The variety is not completely without heat, perhaps comparable to a slightly milder jalapeño. It is thick-walled, juicy, with a full-bodied fruity flavour, and has floral notes that are not too overpowering.

Semina e cura
- Sowing period: Mid-January to late February indoors, or approximately 8–10 weeks before the last expected frosts.
- Optimal germination temperature: +25–28°C. A bright, warm location is absolutely essential.
- Germination time: up to 2 weeks. After germination, move the seedlings to a cooler location at around +20°C.
- Prick out the seedlings 2–3 weeks after sowing, once the first true leaf pair has fully developed. When doing so, the roots should be trimmed to promote healthy root growth.
- Transplant outdoors from mid-May to early June, after the final night frosts. Harden off the plants for several days beforehand. Don’t forget to water them in well.
- Peppers require well-loosened, free-draining soil with a high humus content. They dislike waterlogging, but must never be allowed to dry out completely.
- Pepper plants love warmth and thrive best in a greenhouse. That said, it’s certainly possible to grow them outdoors. Choose the warmest and most sheltered spot in your garden, or use horticultural fleece if necessary.
- Peppers are heavy feeders. They need a good supply of quality fertiliser and, indeed, a great deal of water.
Do not plant too close to hot chilli varieties, as peppers and chillies cross-pollinate easily.
