Included in this seed kit are 3 grain plant varieties of ethnobotanical importance:
  • Maize 'Golden Bantam' (Zea mays)
    Corn is one of the world's most important cereal crops. It was sacred to the Indian peoples who cultivated maize. Golden Bantam is a open pollinated sweet corn variety.
  • Rice 'Arborio Bianco' (Oryza sativa)
    Rice is also an important staple food and one of the oldest cultivated plants. This variety is cultivated in Italy and is well adapted to the European climate.
  • Einkorn wheat (Triticum monococcum)
    Einkorn wheat is a so-called original grain from the ancestral line of wheat. This species is also one of the oldest cultivated plants of mankind.
The seeds of each variety are packaged in a separate sachet.
